One of Schenectady’s newest breweries, Frog Alley, is named after one of the first baseball teams in the county. Known for playing no matter the cost, they were actually thrown in jail for playing on a Sunday! Frog Alley is home to Schenectady County Community College’s brewing program, and features several “start-up” breweries in their tasting room for a one-of-a-kind experience pairing great beer with live music and lots of fun.
The name “Great Flats” pays homage to the fresh water aquifer that provides water to Schenectady – and for their brewing operation! Dedicated to using New York State ingredients, Great Flats brings creative flavors and some of the friendliest staff around. Grab a beer and hang out to play board games in their beautiful, spacious tasting room.
Located in the heart of Schenectady’s Historic Stockade District, the Van Dyck opened in 1947 as a popular jazz club and is now home to the award-winning Mad Jack Brewing Company. Still home to great live music, now you can pair that with some delicious beer! Featuring a rotating selection of innovative takes on classic recipes, you’ll want to try them all!
Wolf Hollow Brewing Company creates local craft beer with a focus on quality and freshness which can be enjoyed in our tasting room or anywhere else by members of our local community. By understanding and contributing to the community in which it lies, WHBC's goal is to be the preeminent choice of local beer drinkers.
To make this a reality, WHBC sells beer in growlers, cans, and fresh from the tap in the brewery and more than 100 local participating establishments. WHBC is open 4 days each week to allow its members and walk-in customers to come and get their beer to go - or spend the evening socializing with like-minded beer drinkers.
